Jetlag

Dear Jetlag,
Ok. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I made fun of you and joked about how long it would take for you to kick in. Anyway now I am smashed. I am so tired I am having trouble keeping my eyes open. I have NEVER been this tired, like ever. I have now travelled for 24 hours. Not straight, but I have been travelling or waiting to catch a plane at the airport for 24 hours. Actually I'm not sure. The international date line, jet lag and lack of sleep has addled my brain. Woohooh... turbulence. My delta airplane has wifi even in the air. Yay!!! The view out the window across the aisle is amazing. Mountain ranges and green valleys. Unfortunately the window beside me is shut. I'm so unbelievably excited to see the Haynes again. I'll be staying with them for 3 weeks, the Denver Haynes for 1 week and EFY for a week. I guess I'm gonna get a real taste of life in Utah. So excited to visit the places I've heard about my whole life, do baptisms in the Salt Lake Temple, attend EFY, live out a summer with Emma in Utah. I haven't seen Emma for ages. The captain just announced we are starting our descent. Scream!!!! My ears are still blocked from the descent into LAX so hopefully it all works out...

At the airport...

Waiting at the airport... Eating a triple choc muffin and generally enjoying myself. My plane should start boarding in about half an hour. We already had a major problem when the lady at the checkin desk asked if I had my esta. Mum and I shared confused glances. What??? Apparently you need an esta visa waiver before you can enter America. Oops. Our facial expressions said it all. Luckily flight center was on hand to fill one out and we set out to brave customs. So now I am sitting here eating my muffin. But not anymore , because there goes the PA announcing that we are boarding now... Well off we go...

1 day to go....

There is one day until I leave for my overseas trip to America. I must admit I'm feeling very excited. As per usual the fact that I'm going on my own to the states for 5 weeks hasn't sunk in yet and I suspect it won't until I'm sitting on the plane, ready to take off.  I'm going on a 5 week trip to visit family in Provo, Utah and Denver, Colorado.
While I am there, I will also be attending, EFY, an LDS Summer program in Provo with my cousin.

As the date comes ever closer I think I may explode... just a litte bit.
I've got my repertoire of books covered so I guess now it's time to get onto the packing.....
